FAQ-1113 Why Do My Reports Show Calls Originating On A Trunk Instead Of An Extension?

ANSWER:

It is common with many phone systems for call records to be shown with trunk numbers showing as originating device instead of extensions. Depending on your phone system, you may or may not see these call types. The most common reasons for these are:

  1. Voice Mail outdialing notification.
  2. Call transfers between offices
  3. Tie Line Calls
  4. Auto attendant transfers.

We can show or suppress these call types depending on what you want to see in your Call Accounting reports.
